Some suspected terrorists have allegedly crossed over into Ghana from Burkina Faso.

The suspects, who were fleeing the police in Burkina Faso after their hideout was discovered are believed to have entered Ghana through Fatchu in the Sissala West District of the Upper West Region.

However, a Ghanaian voter ID card, two mobile phones, an unspecified number of ammunition, clothing and eight bicycles, among others were found at their hideout.

A search into their phones revealed pictures of men dressed in ‘terrorist regalia’ of which one young man of about forty years bears the same resemblance as the picture on the Ghanaian voter ID card.

The police in Burkina Faso have identified the person with the Ghanaian voter ID card with the name Abdulai Ibrahim as Diallo Noufou; a suspected terrorist.

The security services in Gwollu, the capital of Sissala West, have been notified of this development and are currently conducting patrols intermittently in and around Fatchu.

Meanwhile, the public has been advised to be on the lookout for the men.
