The vice president Dr.Mahamude Bawumia has thrown a word of caution to the former President John Dramani Mahama not to undermine the credibility of the recent WASSCE results released by WAEC .
He said the 2023 WASSCE results victory comes as a result of the hard work of both the students and the teachers.
The NPP flagbearer said some members of the NDC are denigrating the efforts of the beneficiary students instead of commending them and their hard-working teachers for the wonderful results this year.
Dr Mahamadu Bawumia added,the free Senior High school policy will not be safe in the hands of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) if voted into power.
He noted that almost 70 percent of the students who sat for the WASSCE passed, which he said is the highest rate since 2015 and discredits the prediction that the policy will lower the standards of the nation’s education.
Speaking at the 63rd annual conference and fundraising ceremony of the Ghana Muslim Mission in Kumasi , he called on politicians not to play with and sacrifice the nation’s education and the future of the students for their political ambitions.
