A/R:No Road, No Vote – Akataniase, Jeninso residents to Gov’t

Disgruntled residents and chiefs of Jeninso and Akataniase in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region haveappealed to government to fix their bad roads.

They have threatened to boycott the 2024 polls if the roads are not fixed.

For them, even though the government keeps trumpeting its infrastructural achievements in the country, their town lacks good roads.

They have, therefore, urged government to fix the roads or see them abstain from voting.

Nana Owusu Ababio II explained that, they have voted for NPP since 1992 but have not seen alsphat before. “We are tired, no road, no vote”, “Nana Addo.

Nana Owusu Ababio indicates NPP administration led by Nana Addo Danquah should do something before 2024 general election else they should forget their breaking the right(8) slogan.

The assembly member for the area Hon Fredrick Mintah said Residents of Jeninso, Akataniase and its surrounding communities with the support of our chiefs and elders have resolved to vote out the government if they refuse to act on our request.

“Farmers and Residents have to travel to Esaase through Nkawie for agricultural inputs and sale of their produce and access health care but can hardly do so due to the nature of the roads.”
