A 10-year-old girl has been allegedly raped to death by a 40-year-old man, Kwabena Larbi, at Ohene Akura in the Kwahu West municipality of the Eastern region.
Information gathered by Yaa Yeboah Boamah indicates the little girl went to school in the morning according to her mother, and cannot tell how she ended up in the 40-year-old fufu pounder’s room.
Speaking with the deceased’s mother, Ama Rita, she said she rushed to the scene after hearing of the daughter’s demise only to confirm it.
She says the daughter’s hymen had been broken when she was sent to the hospital.
“I was home when I was told my child had died in a man’s room. I don’t know how my child got into the room. I’m not even well and all I heard was my daughter had died in the man’s room and when I rushed there, truly she was dead and the police were even there.
When we took her to the hospital, doctors detected that her hymen was broken with blood oozing from her genital,” she narrated in Twi to Onua News.
The mother added that she wants authorities to “help me address this issue.”
The deceased is the second of five kids to her mother.
