Tragic Accident Claims Life of 34-Year-Old Teacher in Assin Dansame.

A devastating road accident that occurred on Monday morning, February 24, 2025, around 7:30 am, in Assin Dansame, resulted in the untimely death of Michael Brobbey, a 34-year-old basic school teacher.

Brobbey, who teaches at Assin Breman near Assin Kushia in the Assin North District, was on his way to school when the tragic incident occurred.

According to eyewitnesses, Brobbey, the deceased was riding his motorcycle from Assin Breku to his school when an oncoming vehicle attempted to overtake another car.

To avoid a collision, Michael Brobbey swerved into the pedestrian lane, but unfortunately, a KIA vehicle with registration number GF-4723-22, which was travelling behind him, struck his motorcycle from behind, killing him instantly.

The police at Assin North were promptly notified and arrived at the scene to convey Brobbey’s body to the mortuary.

The driver of the KIA vehicle, whose identity is yet to be revealed, has been taken into police custody to assist in the investigation, and the road has since been cleared to ensure the free flow of traffic.

The Assin Breku community is in a state of mourning following the sudden passing of Brobbey, affectionately known as Kobii. His tragic demise has sent shockwaves throughout the community, and he will be deeply missed by his students, colleagues, and loved ones.
