Speaker summons Ken Ofori to brief the house over debt exchange programme

The Speaker of Parliament has directed the Finance Minister to urgently appear before Parliament to brief the house on the debt exchange programme government is undertaking as part of the IMF programme.

Members of Parliament on the minority side are demanding the minister comes to the House to appraise them on happenings as pensioners have began a daily picketing of the Finance Ministry over their inclusion in the exchange programme .

The Speaker of Parliament on Tuesday Alban Bagbin after calls by MPs for the Finance Minister to appear before the house, has directed Ken Ofori to appear before the house next week Tuesday to answer question on the domestic debt exchange .
