Sigh of relieve for parents as first consignment of childhood vaccines arrive and dispatched

Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Service have received first consignment of Measles vaccines, BCG vaccines and Oral Polio Vaccines.

Distribution to various regions and facilities underway.

More vaccines expected in Ghana in the coming weeks from multiple sources.

The country has been without childhood vaccines since late last year which has caused fear amongst parents

Director General of the Ghana Health Service Dr Patrick Kuma Aboagye said the first consignment could serve the country for the next six weeks as the Service awaits the arrival of other consignments.
