A 27-year-old SHS graduate, Kweku Twiah, has been arrested by the Twifo Atti Morkwa District Police Command for allegedly murdering a 75-year-old spiritual healer and three others at Twifo Kwame Alert in the Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District of the Central Region.
According to eyewitnesses, Kweku Twiah had a misunderstanding with his father, which escalated into violence.
He allegedly butchered his father, inflicting severe injuries on his neck, hands, and stomach.
The suspect then moved to the community street, where he met the 75-year-old spiritual healer, Ante Amataa, and murdered her with a machete, inflicting three fatal wounds.
After committing the murders, Kweku Twiah allegedly fled into the bush but later returned to the community, where he attacked and butchered two more people.
The community was thrown into a state of fear and panic, prompting a public announcement and subsequent arrest of the suspect by the Twifo Atti Morkwa District Police Commander, Superintendent Charles Addei Boateng.
Nana Kojo Damptey, the linguistics of Twifo Kwame Alert, spoke to uniquenewsgh news reporter Nana Kwame Essel, expressing concerns that Kweku Twiah may be involved in drug abuse, citing his calm demeanor.
The body of the spiritual healer has been deposited at the Twifo Praso Hospital, while the three other victims are battling for their lives.
