Some residents of kasoa in the Awutu East Municipality of the Central Region have bemoaned the current increment of public toilet fees by the Kasoa Public Toilet Association.
According to the residents, they do not understand why the depreciation of the cedis, has affected the cost of living, increment of foodstuffs and now increasing of public toilet fee.
speaking in an interview with some residents, “they averred that, they pay 50p each time they visit the toilet but it has now been increased to Gh1.5p which is very bad”.
The residents furthermore stated that,the economic hardship which has affected the price of the public toilet price is too harsh.
One of the public toilet collectors also said that,the increment of the toilet has come as a result of the economic hardship in the country which has compelled them to increased the fees.
