The National Democratic Congress  has described the decision as baseless, unconstitutional, undemocratic, and provocative.

The party alleges the disqualification of Joana Gyan Cudjoe is a political plot to favour the NPP in the constituency.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has vowed to overturn the Electoral Commission’s disqualification of their Amenfi Central parliamentary candidate, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, labeling the decision as unconstitutional and politically motivated.

In a fierce rebuttal, the NDC General Secretary Fifi Kwetey described the move as part of a broader plot to weaken their position in the constituency and favour the ruling New Patriotic Party to secure the seat.

They argue that the EC’s actions, based on what they describe as an expired court injunction, reflect a deliberate attempt to manipulate the democratic process and undermine voters’ rights.

The NDC has pledged to fight this decision through legal channels and public advocacy, calling it a dangerous precedent for Ghana’s democracy.
