Two people are in police custody following communal clashes between Pankrono and Adabraka youth that resulted in one being fatally stabbed.

The arrests were made in response to an unfortunate occurrence that occurred on Wednesday, October 18, evening at the Pankrono public restroom and resulted in the death of one Kwame Owusu, a local resident.

Following the strange death of an electrician at Pankrono in the Tafo-Pankron Municipality, Ashanti region, named Kwame Owusu on Thursday, October 19, 2023, the suspects were reportedly detained by the Tafo Divisional Police Command.

The deceased was allegedly given a suspected toxic injection by the suspects, whose names have been concealed, which caused his death.

According to some residents who spoke with Uniquenewsgh News, the deceased victim was part of a long-standing conflict between teenagers in Pankrono and youth in Adabraka.

They disclosed that a dispute between the two youth groups several months prior to the recent clash had led to a rift between the two communities.

However, some young people from Adabraka attacked the deceased on Wednesday, October 18, months after the initial altercation, and injected the deceased with what appeared to be poison.

According to reports,  Kwame Owusu, 27, was killed after being attacked by some youth from a twin community within the Tafo municipality called Adabraka after using the restroom and before returning home.

The deceased, Kwame Owusu, according to his mother, had just returned from Qatar and was getting ready to fly to Dubai on October 19, 2023, the day after his passing.

The youth of Pankrono have, in other words, vowed to descend heavily on anybody from Adabraka whenever they come into contact.

However, the police service has been able to restore calm since the reprisal attack by the youth.
