Management of the Kumasi City Market has seen some gains after it launched a Strategy dubbed Operation Pay Your Bill Three months ago.
Under the Strategy shop owners who owed ECG bills but have refused to pay had their shops locked by the managers of the market and a KMA Task Force.
It would be recalled that some months ago the Electricity Company of Ghana disconnected the entire Kejetia City Market facility over the failure of the market to settle its electricity bills.
In early April this year the management of the facility launched operation pay your bill as a strategy for traders to pay their accumulated bills to help settle ECG debt Owned.

Managing Director of the facility Dr. Kofi Dufour said since the operation commenced, they have been able to retrieve Ghs.2 million from bill defaulters.
The President of the Federation of Kumasi Traders Association Nana Kwasi Prempeh says they are strongly behind the management strategy to retrieve money from the traders.
The operation was led by the Managing Director of the facility with a joint task force from Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.
