KMA MAYOR VOWS TO SUPPORT BUSINESSES IN KUMASI TO BOOST JOB OPPORTUNITIES

The Metropolitan Chief Executive of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Hon. Richard Ofori-Agyeman Boadi, has announced plans to host business entities in Kumasi to boost job creation.

It is the mayor’s initiative, christened ‘Kumasi Business Connect.

The 3-day business exploration program scheduled for October 2025 is aimed at attracting businesses from within and outside Ghana.

He hinted that he will help the business community in real estate, transport, and tourism, among others, to capitalize on numerous opportunities in Kumasi to improve businesses, create jobs, and enhance revenue for the Assembly, among other benefits.

The mayor announced it during a meeting with the Ashanti Business Owners Association (ABOA) in his office on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

Mr. Ofori-Agyeman Boadi thanked ABOA for their willingness to support the Assembly and requested further cooperation to generate revenue. At the same time, the Assembly creates an enabling environment to enhance their businesses.

Meanwhile, Ashanti Business Owners Association (ABOA) Chairman Mr. JK Agyemang and his secretary, Mr. Charles Kusi Appiah-Kubi, lauded the mayor’s initiative and appealed to the assembly for continuous engagement with the business community.

They said they will continue to support him in his new role.

The dignitaries who were present at the meeting were the Metropolitan Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Dwira Darko; the Metropolitan Budget Officer, Mr. Jones Kani; and the Metropolitan Finance Officer, Mr. Owusu Daniels.
