Inspector Ahmed Twumasi allegedly killed Victoria Dapaah, alias Maadwoa over a ghs5000 the accused claimed the deceased owed him.
This was contained in the prosecution document as read in an open court.
It was an emotional day at the Asokore Mampong district court as police needed reinforcement to escort, Inspector Ahmed Twumasi from the court premises.
He was charged with murder, but judicial prosecutor, Kofi Blagodzie hinted at more charges in the next hearing.
The prime suspect in the murder of 26-year-old Maadwoa at Adum has told an open court, it was not his intention to kill the lady, although, he went to demand a refund of the five thousand cedis he has given the deceased.
It was also revealed at the court that Inspector Ahmed Twumasi used a service pistol to commit the crime.
Asked by the judge whether he has anything to say, despite not allowing him to plead guilty or not he said “I have no intention to commit the crime; what happened is between me and God” Inspector Twumasi told the court.
He has been remanded into police custody to reappear on May 30.
