The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah, will on Saturday, 29th October, 2022, be awarded the most Effective Regional Minister Award- Africa category in Ikeja, Lagos-Nigeria.
Mr Osei-Mensah will also be inducted into the Ghana-Nigeria Achievers Award Hall of Fame on the same night, together with other high-profiled personalities on the continent.
The Award, being organized by the Ghana-Nigeria Achievers Award Foundation will be presented to the Minister at the 7th edition Ghana-Nigeria Achievers Awards Night. It will also recognize individuals making impact and uniting the two countries though their activities.
According to a letter issued and signed by Comrade Barry Ndu and Serwaa Gyedu, GNAAF Convenor and Secretary, respectively, the award forms part of its sustained and deliberate move to promote high moral standards among office holders, business leaders and entrepreneurs, especially between the two West African States.
“These two great countries can become a powerful force to reckon with in the committee of Nations if the inherent resources are judiciously managed by our Leaders”, the letter stated.
In collaboration with the Ghana Embassy in Nigeria and the Nigerian High Commission in Ghana, the award further seeks to strengthening the relationship between Ghana and Nigeria through honoring deserving companies and individuals who are making impacts in society.
Since 2017, the Ashanti Regional Minister has been a proud recipient of prestigious awards and recognition from both International and Local organizations, for his contribution to humanity and development of Ashanti Region and Ghana at large.
He currently holds the record as four-times best Regional Minister by FAKS Investigations Limited, a renowned research body in the country.
Mr Osei-Mensah was in 2019 given the Presidential Globe African Heroes Honours Award as the Best Regional Minister Under president Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo’s Administration.
Again, in 2019, a USA-based professional body, the Charted Institute of Leadership and Governance, also awarded Simon Osei-Mensah, with an “Excellence in Organizational and Heroes” award.
