Six individuals have lost their lives in a devastating accident on the Daso-Akomadan Highway.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning when an Articulator truck and 55-seater VIP Bus, registered as AP-1986-22, collided while transporting passengers from Accra to Yipe in the Northeast region.
The bus was reportedly speeding at the time of the crash, causing it to be somersaulted and numerous passengers also suffered varying degrees of injuries.
Eyewitnesses who were in the VIP bus told Akoma news in an interview that, “they first had an accident at Accra- Nkawkaw road so the driver called for another bus which picked them from there and was transporting them to Yeipe but unfortunately the second bus also had an accident at Daso -Akomadan road around 5:40 am.
The arrival of the police and ambulance to the scene transported the deceased and injured to the Nkenkenso government hospital.
Some passengers who sustain serious have been transferred to Okomfo Anokye.
