The sad incident happened at Nana Appiah Kubi’s house of Twifo Eduabeng in the Twifo Atti-morkwa District of Central Region when one of the deceased Diana Nti 20 years was drying her clothes after washing on a drying line believed to have been connected to a life electrical wire in the house.
Immediately Diana placed the wet clothes on the drying line, she got electrocuted and suddenly fell to the ground.
Unfortunately, her next-door neighbour Agnes Oforiwaa Agyeiwaa 41 years who had no knowledge about the cause of Diana’s fall also came out of her room to rescue her. Upon touching Diana who was full of electric power also instantly got electrocuted.
Residents leaving around heard the tenants in the house shouting for help only for them to realise that the two have been electrocuted and died instantly.
According to some of the tenants, they don’t know who actually connected the electricity through the dry line.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the two neighbours have been deposited at the Twifo Praso Government District mortuary for preservation while the Twifo Atti-morkwa District Police Command has begun investigations into the matter.
No arrest has been made so far.
