Education Minister, Hon Yaw Osei Adutwum has called for the support of philanthropists for the construction of a Teacher Training College at Jachie in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti Region.
Education is factored as one of the most essential tools in the development of every country.
The minister in his address at the celebration of Jachie Homecoming which focused on fundraising in aid of the construction of a Teacher Training College at Jachie donated ¢50, 000 to show his commitment
He then called on other natives and philanthropists to make some donations in support since the school when built will be in full benefit to the district and the country at large.
Yaw Adutwum also called on parents to consider their wards’ education as their topmost priority.
The Chief of Jachie, Baffour Kwaku Amoateng IV, who was so enthused about the support from his subjects also donated ¢50,000 together with his hotel facility which will serve as lecture halls and offices of the lecturers at the beginning.
