Dr. William Attah Owusu, a former Parliamentary Aspirant for Subin Constituency on the NDC ticket as a dedicated member, has made a significant promise to the party’s old and elderly sympathizers to provide them with a monthly stipend to enable them to start small businesses and care for themselves.
This gesture, made on behalf of the party’s leader, John Dramani Mahama, and chairman, Johnson Aseidu Nkatiah, aims to assist the party’s most vulnerable members.
Dr. Owusu has already started donating to Kumasi party members, which has brought joy and relief to many.
The initiative, dubbed “Empowering the Elderly,” has received widespread support from party members and the public.
He has promised to donate one thousand Ghana cedis (GHS 1000.00) per month to supporters of the long-service and old-age party’s supporters in the region.
It demonstrates the NDC’s dedication to caring for and safeguarding its supporters’ well-being.
“I’m so glad today my elderly mother Abaah, who has followed the party for so many years, but as a dedicated member of the NDC, we need to reward them for their overwhelming service rendered to the party. I have taken it upon myself to reward long-serving, dedicated elderly women of the party GHS 1000.00 each month to appreciate their effort”.
Mma Abaah, who has served the NDC party for many years, received GHS 1000.00 from Mr Williams Atta Owusu to help her during this time of economic hardship.
“I am so grateful to Dr. Owusu and the NDC for their assistance. It will enable me to start a small trading business and care for my grandchildren.
Dr. Owusu reiterated that this initiative is just the beginning, promising to expand it and reach out to more party supporters.
His selfless act has reenergized the party’s grassroots support and solidified the NDC’s image as a caring and compassionate political force.
As the program continues to roll out, it is clear that Dr. William Attah Owusu’s promises have given many people hope and empowerment, cementing his reputation as a people’s champion.
