“Do or die” does not imply that there should be bloodshed, John Mahama clarifies his statement “do or die”

John Mahama, former president, has clarified that his remark “do or die” does not imply that there should be bloodshed.
He explained that it signifies that the 2024 elections are crucial and that everything must be done to oust the New Patriotic Party from office.
Addressing on the second day of his trip in Osino, in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern Region, Mr Mahama said that the 2024 election is crucial for the NDC and that everyone must put in lot of effort to win.
” A do or die comment does not mean using a sword, machete and other offensive weapons to butcher each other during the elections day but rather exercising vigilance at the various polling stations by protecting the vote cast of  Ghanaian voters”.
He added the 2024 election is “a do or die” affair and a critical moment for the party and disappointed Ghanaians therefore they cannot afford to lose the election due to their own negligence at various polling stations.
He said the ruling NPP party has already jeopardised the country’s economy by reckless borrowing and debt which plunged the economy into a mess.
