The residents of Estate-Ahodwo and the California suburbs of Bibiani have expressed concern over the dead trap footbridge that links the two communities. They have called on the authorities in the Bibiani Anhweaso Bekwai municipality to fix the footbridge to make movement easy.
During uniquenewsgh news’ visit to the footbridge, some of the footbridge users expressed concerns over how the poor state of the footbridge has hindered access to several areas in Bibiani and is now posing a threat to people who use it.
According to them, the footbridge can’t be used when there is heavy rainfall.
The Unit Committee Chairman for Estate-Ahodwo, Edward Twumasi Ankrah uniquenewsgh news that not only does the footbridge pose a threat to their lives but also the darkness in the area at night some bad people hide around to attack those who use the footbridge to collect their mobile phones, money, and other valuable items.
The chairman, however, appealed to the Member of Parliament in the area, Alfred Obeng Boateng, and the rest of the authorities of the Bibiani Municipal Assembly to get their footbridge fixed.
Also, some footbridge users shared with uniquenewsgh news the challenges that they go through when using the bridge. They called on authorities to come to their aid.
