COP George Alex Mensah describes IGP as the worst IGP Ghana has had

One of the Police officers at the center of the alleged plot to oust the IGP, COP George Alex Mensah has described the IGP, Dr George Akufo Dampare as the worst IGP in the history of the service.

He told the committee on Friday that he has had several opportunities to tell him about his leadership shortcomings.

The Committee has commenced the second day of probing the Senior Police Officer.

“This IGP is the worst ever since my 31 years in the police service”.

COP George Alex Mensah also accused the IGP, Dr George Akufo Dampare of being behind the taping and leaking of the audio tape at the center of an alleged plot to oust the IGP.

According to him, reliable intelligence available to him indicates so.

“My reliable source revealed that IGP is behind the taping and leaking of our conversation to the public”.

COP George Alex Mensah implored the committee to invite the IGP to answer questions on the leaked tape.
