CLOGSAG TO WITHDRAW SERVICE IN SUPPORT OF TEACHER UNIONS STRIKE

The Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana(CLOGSAG ) have threatened to withdraw their services in support of the ongoing strike by the teacher unions..

According to the executive secretary of of CLOGSAG  Dr. Isaac Bampoe Addo , the leadership of workers who are part of the FORUM, are to convene an emergency meeting next week to take a decision whether they will embark on strike to express their grievances.

He reiterated that, the striking teacher unions are part of the forum which comprises nine labour unions.The forum which comprises public sector workers numbering over 600,000 are to convene a meeting next week.

The meeting is to discuss the need to join the ongoing strike by the teacher unions.

Dr. Isaac Bampoe Addo was of the view, the appointment of the Director General of the Ghana Education Service was unconstitutional and he (Dr. Eric Nkansah) must vacant the office immediately  to allow peace and tranquility to prevail in the education center.

He made this statement during a press briefing to show their solidarity to Forum teacher unions members.
