Chieftaincy dispute: pending case affecting development – Queen-mother of Assin Attendanso Traditional Area

The Paramount Queen-mother of Assin Attendanso Traditional Area of the Central Region, Nana Abena Gyamfua has urged the regional and national house of chiefs to speed up chieftaincy dispute pending cases.

Many traditional areas in the regional are already led to chaos due to chieftaincy disputes cases pending at the central regional house of chiefs.

According to her, inability of the house of chiefs to firmly, and honestly decide on cases on time when all facts of such matters are already available to them is what is leading to chaos in many traditional areas including Assin Attendanso traditional area.

The conflict has stuck the traditional areas development in so many years.

Nana Abena Gyamfua expressed serious concern about the slow pace houses of chiefs in the country especially central region deal with many chieftaincy pending before them.

The Paramount Queen-mother , Nana Abena Gyamfua expressed her frustration at a media conference held at Nyankumasi Ahenkro Community,

She further noted that there are two chieftaincy petitions and two applications for injunctions pending at the central regional house of chiefs, all aim is the house to declare rightful Omanhene or Paramount Chief for Assin Attendanso Traditional Area.
