An 18-year-old apprentice identified as Georgina Agyeman has met her untimely death at Anwiankwanta In Bekwai Municipal of Ashanti Region following a suspected brutal gang rape in a doggy style by the perpetrators.
According to sources, the deceased died in the process of gang rape at an uncompleted building at Abenkyim.
According to the eyewitness, “the lady was found with pants strangled to her neck, the buttocks facing the sky and her jeans trousers partly removed, with blood stains on her vagina and on the floor where she was forced to kneel in an uncompleted building at Abenkyim, a suburb of Anwiankwanta in the Bekwai Municipal”.
The deceased wasn’t able to return home after she closed from work on Friday evening, the family and members searched in vain for her in the area and the surrounding was found dead in an uncompleted building on Saturday evening at 4 pm.
Fear gripped the residents of the area following the incident, with the people alleging that it is insecure for women in the community to venture out after sunset.
The deceased has been sent to Bekwai Municipal Government Hospital for autopsy, no arrests have been made as of yet.
Meanwhile, the Bekwai municipal chief executive Hon. Kwaku Kyei Baffour has sent his deepest condolence to the bereaved family for their lost daughter.
He added that the MUSEC will convey an emergency meeting to bring the perpetrators to book.
