Approximately 100 prospective National service personnel have taken reposting out of Bawku after being posted by National Service Scheme due to the security situation in the Area.
55 personnel have so far been validated and accepted to be posted in Bawku and are all indigence of Bawku while 133 are yet to either accept or reject the postings to Bawku municipality.
So far, close to 1000 prospective national service personnel out of the over 4000 personnel posted in the upper east region have been validated and accepted postings in various departments and institutions.
The upper east regional office of the scheme was very busy and active at the time of filing this with many yet to be validated.
One serious challenge the regional scheme office is facing is the frequent reposting of personnel out of Bawku especially those who are not from that area.
Approximately 100 personnel have requested reposting out of Bawku and have been accepted while 133 are yet to either accept or reject.
But he upper east regional minister Stephen Yakubu has assured every prospective national service personnel posted to Bawku to be calm and accept postings because the situation is under control now.
