The National Democratic party has been the victorious party since the constituency was detached from Kintampo North Constituency by Legislative Instrument (LI) 1781 and was duly inaugurated on 24th August, 2004, so far as parliamentary and presidential elections is concern.
The party has had witnessed and experienced the work of previous constituency executives who fought with dedication and selfless spirit in protecting the seat from the year 2004 to 2018.
But the executives who were elected to continue the good work of their predecessors failed in protecting the seat whilst lost it softly to the New Patriotic Party(NPP) for the first time in history of democratic dispensation due to their selfishness, greediness, negligence, complacency and their corruptible acts of some of the executives.
The incumbent constituency Chairman Sakyi Robert is the leader of the failed executives and vying to retain his chairmanship position.
Per our investigation conducted within the constitution shows that , some of these executives used the name of the party(NDC) and their position to run their personal businesses to gain their profit instead of being executives for the constituency.
We as concern youth in the party, who want the seat to be won back need competent,self dedicated, incorruptible, transparent , accountable leaders who can turn the fortune of the constituency coming 2024 general election.
We are therefore calling on our noble delegates to elect competent leaders who can win the seat and bring back the party into power in 2024 general election.
Based on our survey conducted ,the best person who can fit the position of chairmanship is Mr. Jonathan Serweh , though he’s part of the current executives who lost the seat to NPP but he is outstanding and the people favorite , incorruptible,self dedicated, transparent accountable ,untribalistic and also thinks about the party members welfare.
We urged the delegates to vote for him as new constituency chairman to steer the affairs of the party to victory coming Saturday 22nd October,2022.
We need a chairman who have the constituency at heart.
Mr.Jonathan Serweh is try and tested, as delegates already knew what he’s capable of,we need to stand behind him to bring unity to the party.
As youth activists in the party,we are convinced that he can set-up reconciliation team to reunite the disheartened disappointed, hopeless,etc members back to party in support of 2024 victory.
We the concern youth of Kintampo south NDC reiterated,if delegates mistakenly vote for the incumbent constituency chairman Mr. Sakyi Robert again, then we should forget the parliamentary seat because he has lost credibility in the party.
We wish all aspirants and delegates fruitful constituency delegates conference.
