The people of Boana in the Nkoranza North District of the Bono East region have mobilized Gh30,000 for reshaping of Boana to Yefrie road speaking to the media Hon Micheal Obour former assemblyman and former presiding member of the Nkoranza North district assembly stated that each member of the community was levied with an amount where women paid Gh30 and men paid Gh50 natives from the diaspora also contributed heavily towards the reshaping of the two kilometres of the road which stretches from Boana to Yefrie.
He indicated that people coming to Boana will have to stop at Yefrie meanwhile Boana people were totally cut off including the sick and the pregnant women due to the bad nature of the road and they decided to find means to reshape themselves.
On the renovation of Boana primary school and the junior high school which was constructed in the year 1992 through the contributions of the community, they were able to raise an amount of Gh50,000 to renovate the two schools showing appreciation to the community.
He used the opportunity to appeal to the government the Nkoranza north district assembly individuals and non-governmental organizations to as a matter of urgency consider the immediate construction of their chip compound which is in a very bad state for the community because the existing one is nothing to write home about.
