Former President and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has stated that not all political parties share the same values.
He stressed that some prioritise truthfulness and honesty, while others do not.
“A lot of the people are disappointed in the NPP, and they are going around saying politicians are the same. I beg to differ. All the parties are not the same, all politicians not the same,” John Mahama stressed.
John Mahama made the statement when he was addressing the chiefs and people of Kojokperi, in the Daffiama Bussie Issa (DBI) Constituency in the Upper West Region as part of his campaign for the 2024 presidential elections. He seeks to restore confidence in Ghana’s political leadership.
“Some will come and tell you what you want to hear just because they want political power. It is not like that,” John Mahama added.
Paramount Chief of the Kojopkeri Traditional Area, Kuoro Musah Nadi Kibei III, Said the visit of the former President is not just a political gesture but a recognition of the significant role each will contribute in shaping the future of Ghana.
“Your presence here is proof of your deeper understanding of the diverse cultures and traditions that make up our great nation,” Kuoro mentioned.
Kuoro Musah Kibei III appealed to the former President to consider their issues when his government was sworn into office.
“If by the grace of Almighty Allah, you form the next government by the 7th of January 2025, we humbly request you to among other things complete the Kojopkeri-Wahabu road,” he appealed. John
