A three months old baby has been stolen and allegedly killed at Anwiankwanta near Asante Bekwai in the Bekwai Municipal of Ashanti region.
The incident which happened on Tuesday, Feb.7,2023 dawn whilst the parents were asleep in their room has left the people around in a state of shock.
According to the report from the mother of the deceased child ,17 years old Ohenewaa revealed that, the incident happened around 1am in the midnight when she realized her three months old son was not on the same bed she slept in.
Ohenewaa and her mother who were in the same room with the child shouted for help from their neighbors to search for the lost child.
With assistance from the neighbors, the baby was found in a nearby gutter while the child was stabbed with machete.
Unfortunately the child die on the way to the hospital .
Information gathered revealed that, there is misunderstanding between the mother of the child and the father with regards to the child responsibility.
The deceased child father Jones and his mother Ohenewaa both detained at the Anwiankwata police station for questioning.
Residents of Anwiankwata suspect some foul play in the child dead.
