Students of the Krobea Asante Technical Institute have been surcharged the cost of damages caused during a violent protest earlier this year.
Management of the school says a bill of GHC430 has been imposed on continuing and final-year students for repairs of destroyed school property, as recommended by a five-member committee that probed the January 22 disturbance.
Over 40 students are currently standing trial over the incident.
Speaking after court proceedings on Tuesday, the Chairman of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of the school, Mawunyo Cudjoe Kwasi-Kumah who provided additional updates to journalists says the school has since been reopened.
Meanwhile, the Asokore Mampong District Court has adjourned the case to May 4.
The court has also withdrawn an order compelling the students to report to the police station every week.
The lawyer for the accused persons Kwabena Gyamfi is also seeking the prosecution to withdraw the charges against his clients since the student population has been surcharged.
