A/R:ICT education improves engagement and knowledge retention-by Hon. Francis Kwaw

Residents at Bonkwaso in the Ahafo ano south-west district in the Ashanti region are jointly funding the construction of a multi-purpose information communication technology (ICT) centre at Bonkwaso in a united response to help the community.

The project, which will start soon is to assist promote education and discourage child labour in the community.

Speaking in an interview with uniquenewsgh the Assembly member of Bonkwaso electoral area,Hon. Francis Kwaw said this will improve the teaching and learning of ICT in the area since students lacked the practical aspect of the subject and arouse interest and sustain their enthusiasm in education.

According to him,ICT education improves engagement and knowledge retention.” When ICT is integrated into lessons, students become more engaged in their work.This is because technology provides different opportunities to make it more fun and enjoyable in terms of teaching the same things in different ways”.

He therefore appeal to stakeholders ,to come to their aid.

Meanwhile the Akyeamehene of Nerebehi Nana Kwabena Amanfo Paul said students must learn the ICT to help their education in future.

“The appearance of new technologies in our day to day has made it possible for the use of ICT in education to increase considerably in recent years.
