The incumbent Ashanti regional NDC Chairman who has retained his seat Nana Kwasi Andrew has stated,the General Secretary of NDC Party Mr.Jonhson Asiedu Nketiah came to Baba Yara Sports stadium where the election was scheduled to campaign against him but fortunately God gave him victory .
According to him, he wish Asiedu Nketiah came to preach unity amongst those who lost and won the elections but rather came to dismantle the cohesion of the team.
He says the delegates understand the kind of leadership style exhibited so far towards the party’s mandate.
However, “it won’t take someone personal interest to influence delegates to vote against me”
“I’m not happy,the forces that were fighting against me but Inshallah the good God that i served have save me through, General came here to campaign against me but I have won. NDC Ashanti have shown that they love me and voted for me”,Nana Kwasi Andrew.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with uniquenewsgh after he was elected by the delegates to execute his mandate for another four years as Ashanti region NDC Chairman.
He was amongst the four contestants vying for the same chairmanship position.
Mr.Andrew Nana Kwasi was elected as a winner and accumulated a total votes of 637, Mr. Owusu Obimpeh also had 137 ,Mr.Evans Amankwah got 572 and Mr. Enock Nsiah had 4 votes.
The total delegates across the 47 constituencies were 1,422 but the total vote cast was 1,354.
Mr. Andrew Nana Kwasi called for unity amongst the party members to work together in other to achieve the victory for NDC coming 2024 general election.
