A/R: (VIDEO)MAN WHO ‘MURDERED ‘WIFE REMANDED IN POLICE CUSTODY

A 40-year-old man Stephen Appiah has been remanded  to police custody for two weeks by the Bekwai Magistrate Court in the Ashanti Region after he allegedly repeatedly struck his wife’s head against a wall till she passed away.

According to sources , the incident happened a few days ago in Ofoase Kokoben near Bekwai in the Bekwai Municipality.

Uniquenewsgh reports that after carrying out the murder, the suspect wrapped the body of his late wife, Afia Abrefi, and dumped her in a bush.

After not able to found her for several days by the deceased’s family ,they proceeded to logged a complaint of  her disappearance to the police.

Upon investigations, the suspect was arrested and confessed to the murder of his wife.

He led police to the scene where the body was retrieved and deposited at the morgue after taking the necessary inventories.

Police arraigned  the accused person  before Bekwai Magistrate court and has been remanded for two weeks to enable police to conduct a further investigation for proper charges to begin the committal trial.
