A nursing mother has died after she was hit by a stray bullet allegedly by a military patrol team in a scuffled between the civilians and military team.
The baby of the deceased mother is also said to have been critically wounded from the stray bullet.
The sad incident occurred over the weekend during the burial of a resident who is said to have died in an attempt to escape from the security personnel upon an attempt to arrest in the same community.
The incident happened at Manso Datano in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti region.
Uniquenewsgh has gathered seeming tension between the military and the youth of the town has escalated on Saturday.
Manso Datano is one of the mining communities in the Ashanti region and illegal mining is also rife in the area.
Youth group in the community is infuriated and they are calling for peace and justice in the community, because the residents suspect reprisal attack by the youth.
The Police is yet to issue an official statement on the latest incident.
But the District Chief Executive for Amansie South Clement Opoku Gyamfi confirmed to uniqunewsgh that they are in a DISEC meeting to discover what exactly triggered the saddened incident.
