Reports have it that the robbers embarked on a sporadic shooting at the place when those present attempted to resist their operation.
Three people were reportedly hit by the bullets. One of them, identified only as Kwame, is said to have died on the spot after he was shot in the head.
The other two, who suffered injuries to their chests, arms, and other parts of their bodies, were rushed to the Mankranso Hospital and subsequently referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for treatment.
In his narration, Nana Kwame said, “We heard some gunshots around 7:30 and heard some thieves have come around to rob people, so we rushed to the police station to report, and the police also couldn’t come due to the nature of the shooting.

“After about 30 minutes, we realised the place was quiet. We rushed to the gold base and realised they had stolen items including money, laptops, and televisions, with gunshots in the building’s ceiling. Some of the people present were hit by the gun and one guy died after his forehead was hit.
One of our friends called ‘Body’ had also been hit and his intestines gushed out. They put them on a tricycle and sent them to Mankraso Hospital. He was later transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, whilst the deceased was also taken to the morgue
