A/R: Kumasi City Market shut down due to fire outbreak

The management of the Kumasi City Market has issued a statement to shut the facility for in-depth investigation by the Ghana Fire Service with regards to cause of the fire.

According to them ,the market will close down from Thursday,16th March ,2023 morning untill 12:00 noon before open to public.

“Kumasi City Market Limited regrets to inform the general public of the  fire  incident that occurred in Kejetia market complex today. The fire which started in the later hours of the afternoon resulted in damaged to shops.

We are grateful to the Ghana Fire Service and other emergency services for their swift responses in bringing the fire under control. Fortunately ,no injuries were recorded”.
