A/R, GALAMSEY SAGA: BOSOME FREHO DCE YAW DANSO SUSPENDED FROM OFFICIAL DUTIES

 

The District Chief Executives for the  Bosome Freho District Assembly in the Ashanti region Hon.Yaw Danso has been suspended from official duties, pending his investigation on alleged leaked galamsey audio.

Thus suspension comes after an alleged leaked galamsey conversation between him and other counterpart goes viral in the social media in which the president of the republic Nana Akufo Addo also intercept the conversation.

The President visited the Ashanti Region to meet with the National House of Chiefs and government appointees, he called out the DCE saying he would be summoned to the local government minister for probing on the said audio.

However, the President said the summon delayed because the DCE was bereaved.

The local government minister Hon. Daniel Botwe issued a letter dated 14th Oct.2022 which says “H.E the president has directed your suspension as District Chief Executives for the Bosome Freho District Assembly with immediate effect pending your an enquiry into the recent of audio recording on social media ,porpurted to be your voice encouraging illegal mining (galamsey) activities in your district.

The letter continue says, The suspension, which takes immediate effect, would allow investigations to be carried out by the appropriate agencies to verify the authenticity of the alleged audio recording”.
