Passengees plying Buoho-brofoyeduru road network in ithe Afigya Kwabre South left stranded after heavy downpour wash away bridge linking the two communities and surroundings.
The stranded passengers calling on authorities to as a matter of urgency to reconstruct the only bridge that links the enclave to other communities to prevent future tragedy.
Information gathered by uniquenewsgh.com indicates, the bridge constructed years ago but collapsed over the weekends due to the heavy downpour and has since not seen any reconstruction.
Some frustrated passengers who spoke to uniquenewsgh.com said the situation poses danger to both children and adults who usually ply the road.
‘’We have complained several times about this bridge. When it rains, our lives become more miserable because we can’t go to work. We have to stay home for days. Our children also use this bridge to school every morning. It is really frustrating us. So we call on the government to do something about it. The drowning are becoming too much” a resident lamented.
The heartbreaking aspect is that children have had to on daily basis ply this route to school, and any wrong step endangers their lives since the bridge is constructed over a stream.
Meanwhile uniquenewsgh.com had an interview with the District chief executive for Afigya Kwabre South District, Christian Adu Poku about the situation but he says the assembly has outline alternative measure to construct the bridge immediately.
