The Ashanti regional Communication Director of the New Patriotic Party Mr. Dennis Kwakwa revealed that since 1D1F program was rolled out ,the factories have created 27,291 jobs for Ghanaian youth in the Ashanti region alone.
Briefing the media after the president’s four days tour in the Ashanti region ,he says his government in the partnership with the private sector have initiated 54 factories,27 fully completed and commissioned for operations which have created 27,291 jobs for Ghanaians within their special jurisdiction.
He reiterated that the NPP government can boast of existing factories which had employed workers to reduce unemployment rate in the region.
The factories include Kasapreko company limited,Vester oil ,UniJay fashion,Drako farms, Pharmaceutical Factory at Ejisu, etc.
These factories received financial support from government to be able to employ more people into the private sector.
Mr. Dennis Kwakwa posed a challenge to NDC party to pin-point one existing factory which constructed by the eswhilst John Mahama administration in the Ashanti region.
