The Chief Executive Officer of Jonyah Farms And Agro-processing Enterprise Mr. Joseph Anyah has revealed that his Agro-processing factory is not part of the government one district one factory initiative.
The factory is located at Abuabugya in the Afigya Kwabre South District, Ashanti region.
According to him he neither had support from the government nor its representative.
The National Best winner of 2021 Agro-processing says the government hasn’t invested a single pesewas in the existing factory which was established in 2009.
“If you wanted to add my factory to 1d1f at least you should have engaged me before.
I do not blame the government but rather blamed the MP who should have known better “.
He added the Member of Parliament of Afigya Kwabre South Constituency Hon.Owuraku Aidoo added the factory amongst his 2020 political achievements under 1d1f when going into 2020 general elections.
“Since that pronouncement all my partners have been withdrawn from their financial support,now my business is collapsing”,Anyah fumes.
Mr. Joseph Anyah in an exclusive interview with uniquenewsgh he said the factory can employ five hundred workers at a go if the factory is running under 1d1f.
Speaking to the government bans on importation of some selected items including beverages,he says they local factories can produce enough if government support them with seed money.
