A district court has granted bail to self-styled doomsday prophet Ebo Noah in the sum of GH¢100,000 with two sureties, one of whom must be justified with verifiable security.
The bail conditions require that one surety provide tangible collateral in the form of a landed property or a vehicle to guarantee the accused’s appearance in court.
The case has been adjourned to March 18, 2026, for further hearing.
The decision was welcomed by the legal team of the accused. Speaking to journalists after the ruling, counsel for Ebo Noah, Emmanuel Sarfo, described the court’s decision as fair and in accordance with the law.
“Thankfully, the court has exercised its discretion because discretion must always be fair, reasonable, and just. So, it exercised it well pursuant to our laws and admitted our accused to bail with any property, with a landed property or a vehicle, in the amount of GHS100,000, and that is all,” he stated.
The court emphasized that strict compliance with the bail conditions is mandatory and warned that failure to meet the requirements could lead to the revocation of the bail.
Ebo Noah, whose real name is Evans Eshun, was arrested on December 31, 2025, by the Ghana Police Service’s Special Cyber Vetting Team.

His arrest followed public alarm triggered by his widely publicized prophecy that a catastrophic flood would destroy the world on December 25, 2025.
In the months leading to the date, the self-proclaimed prophet constructed what he referred to as an “ark” at his premises, claiming it would be used to save humanity from the impending disaster.
However, when the predicted event failed to occur, he reportedly revised his prophecy, claiming that divine intervention and his prayers had succeeded in postponing the destruction.
The case attracted widespread public attention, with many Ghanaians questioning the impact of such alarming prophecies on public peace and security.
Prosecutors are expected to continue presenting their case when the matter returns to court on March 18.
