Parliament approves Ato Forson, John Jinapor and Dr Ayine

Similarly, Dr Dominic Ayine and John Jinapor have been approved as Ministers for Justice and Attorney General and Energy, respectively.

The House approved the nominees on Tuesday, January 21, after a debate. The three were the first to have been nominated by President John Dramani Mahama.

Meanwhile, President Mahama has submitted a third batch of ministerial nominees to Parliament for approval.

The announcement, made on January 21, 2025, features prominent figures nominated to lead key ministries pivotal to the governance and running of the country.

Among the noteworthy appointments are Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah as Minister of Defence, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak as Minister of Interior, and Kofi Iddie Adams as Minister of Sports and Recreation.

Other notable nominees include Samuel Nartey George for the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations; Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah for the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources; and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
