The visionary leader and founder of Bethel Bethel Prayer Ministry in Aprade, Ashanti Prophetess Maa Vida Osei Mensah, has fed and clothed over two thousand persons living with disabilities and widows through her philanthropic benefaction of assorted food items (rice, oil, sardines) and clothing for the new year celebration at her church premises after ushering her congregants into the new year (2025).
Prophetess Maa Vida Osei Mensah has dedicated her life to philanthropy for nearly a decade, helping to put smiles on people’s faces.
According to her, the purpose of her benevolent journey derives from her life experiences and currently where God has brought her.
She thus chastised the beneficiaries for not always going out to the streets begging and relying on others for survival, but instead doing something on their own to support themselves and their families.
“With the little money you have, you can do something for yourself to secure your children’s future.
“I used to sell porridge (‘koko’) and go to Techiman to buy maize to feed my family, but look how God has changed my fortunes,” she said.
Meanwhile some beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for her generosity in keeping them smiling throughout the festivity.
“God blessed her and future generations for supporting us. “We are extremely grateful to her,” they stated
Prophetess Vida Osei Mensah, a philanthropist and visionary leader of Bethel Prayer Ministry in Kumasi used the opportunity to urged the youth to work to achieve their goals and objectives rather than relying on government assurances.
She added that young people should get out of their comfort zones and work harder in order to succeed in their future endeavors.
During the election campaign, many political parties flagbearers including the President-elect John Dramani Mahama and his party made numerous promises to create more jobs for Ghanaians’ youth in order to help reduce Ghana’s unemployment rate and create a conducive environment for economic stabilization.
These kinds of promises have left the majority of young people complacent, refusing to consider working hard for a better future.
“Young people must focus on God and work hard for a better future, rather than relying on the government for jobs,” she said.
