A security expert, Richard Kumadoe, has said that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s appointment of Commissioner of Police (COP) Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno as the new Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Operations is part of the conspiracy to remove the IGP, Dr George Akuffo Dampare.
The appointment of COP Yohunu was announced in a press statement released by the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Mr Eugene Arhin, on Wednesday, July 17.
“This appointment is under the advice of the Police Council at its meeting held today, Wednesday, 17th July 2024, during which COP Yohuno’s exceptional credentials and dedication to duty were acknowledged,” the statement said.
It added that COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno is a distinguished law enforcement officer, with a career spanning over three decades, and has held various key positions within the Ghana Police Service.

Yohuno on his well-deserved appointment, and wishes him the very best in discharging his duties,” the statement said.
Commenting on this development on the Hot Hot Edition on 3FM on Wednesday, July 17, Kumadoe said, “There is a conspiracy theory that they are preparing the grounds for the removal of IGP.”
For his part, a former Police officer who is currently a lawmaker for Wa West Peter Toobu said
