The chief of Atonsu, Nana Yaw Ayeboafo, has called on former President John Dramani Mahama to save Ghanaians from the current economic hardships endured by the ordinary people in the country.

He said the former president has more experience in terms of governance, so he believes he is the only person who can save the country from the mess created by the ruling NPP government.

“I know you will come as president. At first, it was hard, but now we are dying. You know we don’t come to your gatherings, but now we have attended because we, the Asanti, say, If you do something good or bad, we will speak out about it.”.

He added that Ghanaian youth, in particular, can no longer bear the current hardship.

He was speaking at NDC’s capacity building gathering at Atonsu as part of the former president’s three-day building the nation tour in the Ashanti region.

Meanwhile, former president John Dramani Mahama says he will do everything possible to change the fortunes of Ghana.

He said the 24-hour economy policy is one key pillar that will drive the economy to success.

He also had encounters with various business entities, including traders, butchers, fuel operators, shoemakers, vegetable farmers, teachers, etc.
