Two months old baby boy has been stolen from his mother at Abura Dunkwa government hospital during her after birth injury treatment.
According to the mother Monica Turkson, she stays at Abura Tuakwa but went to her mother at Edumfa after giving birth in which the suspected baby thief who was selling soap in a biscuit box came to the house and witness the good news with a bar of soap as a gift since she knows her at Abura Dunkwa
She said, she was supposed to go with her mother to the hospital for treatment but the lady decided to be a good samaritan to her by escorting her to the hospital hence, stopped her mother.
She gave the two weeks baby boy to the said soap seller when they got to the hospital for her treatment but after her treatment she came back without seeing her baby nor the soap seller.
” l told her to wait for me at the visitors room but she told me they’re hanging around for him not to cry but l didn’t know she was planning to run away with my baby” she disclosed.
CCTV footage at the hospital captured the woman with the stolen child.
The case has since been reported to Abura Dunkwa Police station for investigations.
The family is appealing to the public to assist the police in identifying perpetrator.
