The Minority in Parliament has called off its planned demonstration against the Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) and his two deputies slated for Tuesday, September 12.
This followed a crunch meeting with the Accra Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service on Monday, September 11.
The two parties met to agree on the route of the demonstration, which was originally scheduled to have been staged on Tuesday, September 5.
But after hours of deliberations, the organisers decided to announce a new date for the protest.
The Minority, together with some progressive forces like the Arise Ghana Movement, has planned this demonstration to get Dr. Ernest Yedu Addison out.
There has been disagreement with the police over the route of the demonstration with the police at each meeting rejecting the route.
The Command had indicated that the endpoint of the planned demonstration was a security zone, asking the organisers to end up at the Black Stars Square.
The meeting on Monday, September 11 after hours concluded on having the demonstration staged on Tuesday, October 3.
