Fire guts 11 bedrooms at Breman leaving many homeless

Fire has destroyed eleven bedrooms at Breman, a suburb of Suame Municipality in the Ashanti Region.

Occupants, including children, were unhurt after the inferno at the residential apartment.

Maame Akosua Kobi, one of the affected residents, said that the fire started and had burnt an undisclosed amount of money from the house.

She said the fire had destroyed materials, mattresses, and other electrical appliances, indicating that the fire was able to cause huge damage because the residents in the area had tried to control the inferno by themselves, which eventually escalated.

Meanwhile, the cause of the inferno is still unknown.

It started on Wed,6 September around 12:30 pm.

They placed a call to the Manhyia Divisional Fire Service, but their arrival couldn’t save anything in the house.
