Teachers in education, Gnat, Nagrat, CCT and Tewu have given minister of Education Dr Yaw Osei Adutuwum seven working days to remove the director general of GES dr. Eric Nkansah or risk over 30,000 teachers withdrawing their services.
President of coalition of concerned teachers CCT King Ali Awudu was Addressing a news conference in Accra.
According to him,the fact that the Dr.Eric Nkansah thought in primary school and Geography in senior high school does not make him a professional teacher or done education.
He said ,the directors of education at district and regional including the unions are not happy with Dr. Eric Nkansah therefore their calling for his immediate removal if the minister want peace and sanity to prevail in the educational sector.
“They are asking the minister to advise the presidency that wrong has been made for him to be corrected”
He added, if Dr. Eric Nkansah continue to be in office by next week Friday, 4th November, 2022 the minister of education should expect industrial unrest,they will lay down their tools.
Meanwhile the association has called on government to begin negotiations on the base pay before the presentation of the budget.
